Cubic Zirconia ?

What is Cubic Zirconia? Cubic Zirconia or CZ is the cubic crystalline form of zirconium dioxide (ZrO2). It is a synthetic gemstone that looks very close to diamonds. CZ is very popular among the silver and gold jewelry due to their startling diamond-like appearance and inexpensive price tag.
Scientists from German & Soviet had done an experiment and found that zirconium oxide and yttrium oxide were melted together at temperatures 2,750ºC to grow Cubic Zirconia. CZ can also be made in any color and it is brighter than crystal. Besides, CZ is heavier and a higher dispersion rate than a diamond. When there is a light shines on CZ stone, it sparkles with many different colors and it looks fantastic.

Rhodium Plating ?

All silver jewelry at our online store are plated with Rhodium. Rhodium is a chemical element that is a rare, silvery-white, hard transition metal and a member of the platinum group. The use of rhodium will make the jewelry looks like platinum jewelry Besides, rhodium plating can prevent the jewelry from tarnishing.

Sterling Silver ?

925 Sterling Silver contains 92.5% of pure silver and 7.5% of other metals such as copper. The 99.9% pure fine silver is generally too soft to producing large object like jewelry. Therefore, the pure silver will usually be alloyed with copper to give it strength while at the same time preserving the beauty of the precious metal. The word “sterling”, used in reference to the 0.925 grade of silver.

Tips on Cleaning Sterling Silver Jewelry

Hi there. This video is about how to clean up tarnished Sterling Silver Jewelry. I found this video on YouTube. You can do it at home!

Shamrock Jewelry

Shamrock means the symbol of Ireland.   It is a three-leafed old white clover and  sometimes of the variety Trifolium repens (a white clover, known in Irish as seamair bhán) but today usually Trifolium dubium (a lesser clover, Irish: seamair bhuí).
The diminutive version of the Irish word for “clover” (”seamair”) is “seamróg”, which was anglicised as “shamrock”, representing a close approximation of the original Irish pronunciation. However, other three-leafed plants — such as black medic (Medicago lupulina), red clover (Trifolium pratense), and wood-sorrels (genus Oxalis) — are sometimes designated as shamrocks. The shamrock was traditionally used for its medical properties and was a popular motif in Victorian times. It is also a common way to represent Saint Patrick’s Day. Perhaps because they are rare, 4-leaved Shamrocks are said to bring good luck.

Jewelry & Accessories of Saint Patrick’s Day Celebration

People will wear green on this special day.
Saint Patrick’s Day is an annual feast day which celebrates Saint Patrick (circa 385–461 AD), one of the patron saints of Ireland, and is generally celebrated on March 17. The day is the national holiday of Ireland. It is a bank holiday in Northern Ireland and a public holiday in the Republic of Ireland, Montserrat, and the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Besides Ireland, there are Canada, Great Britain, Australia, the United States and New Zealand is widely celebrated but is not an official holiday. It became a feast day in the Roman Catholic Church due to the influence of the Waterford-born Franciscan scholar Luke Wadding [2] in the early part of the 17th century, and is a holy day of obligation for Roman Catholics in Ireland.
Saint Patrick’s Day is celebrated worldwide by Irish people and increasingly by non-Irish people (usually in Australia and North America). Celebrations are generally themed around all things Irish and, by association, the color green. Both Christians and non-Christians celebrate the secular version of the holiday by wearing green or orange, eating Irish food and/or green foods, imbibing Irish drink (such as Guinness or Baileys Irish Cream) and attending parades.
St. Patrick’s Blue, not green, was the color long-associated with St. Patrick. Green, the color most widely associated with Ireland, with Irish people, and with St. Patrick’s Day in modern times, may have gained its prominence through the phrase “the wearing of the green” meaning to wear a shamrock on one’s clothing. At many times in Irish history, to do so was seen as a sign of Irish nationalism or loyalty to the Roman Catholic faith. St. Patrick used the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy Trinity to the pre-Christian Irish. The wearing of and display of shamrocks and shamrock-inspired designs have become a ubiquitous feature of the saint’s holiday.[11] The change to Ireland’s association with green rather than blue probably began around the 1750s.
People are wearing not just clothes during Saint Patrick’s Day but they wear jewelry as well. ShopFashionStore.com has jewelry collections of Saint Patrick’s Day. Anyways, jewelry of Saint Patrick’s Day is so stunning and it can be wear at all occasion.

Different Selling Prices

If you are a silver jewelry retailer and you are searching for silver jewelry for resell, do you realize that while you are doing your research in google or yahoo, you will get a list of wholesaler who lists their jewelry prices a little higher? Let me give you an example, if you are looking for a simple sterling silver ring or wedding band, the weight for this ring is approximately 2 or 3 gram per piece and the cost of this material is around $0.40 - $0.90. Let me explain to you why there are so many wholesaler out there are selling you for the price of $2.00 - $19.00 or more.

Labor Cost

The first reason is the labor cost. The manufacturers have to pay for the cost of turning the raw material to finished goods. There are costs for metal melting, molding, polishing, handmade, casting, high level craftsmanship and assembling.

Precious Stone Cost

Before you purchase any jewelry, please ensure the type of stone used in the jewelry. Some jewelry comes with Cubic Zirconia or Swarosvki Crystal which are cheaper compare to gemstone. A gemstone or gem is also called a precious or semi-precious stone. For the jewelry that comes with pearl, there are synthetic pearl and genuine pearl. Jewelry that comes with synthetic pearl will usually cost lower because the pearl used are man made pearl.

Plating

Silver jewelry is mostly plated with Rhodium. Rhodium will prevent it from tarnishing and it is usually cost more than silver. So, this will make the jewelry to be more expensive.

Price Fluctuation

Some of the jewelry wholesalers will associate the price of the jewelry with the current silver/metal market price. These are the case that might cause the jewelry to be cheaper this week and to be more expensive next month because it all depends on the market price of the metal at that time. Nevertheless, some wholesaler might set a fixed price to the silver jewelry regardless the price change of the metal market price.

Courier Fee & Insurance

It also depends on the wholesalers to set the price of the jewelry. If you have done your research, you will notice that some wholesalers will list the price more than you expected because they might add in the shipping cost and insurance to the jewelry itself.

Business Overhead Expense

There are ongoing expenses of operating a business. Normal ongoing expensive are bills, utilities, machines, employee’s salaries, office & factory rental fees, breakage, e-commerce web site, advertising fees and so on.

Profit & Revenue

The seller will need to have profit in return for every sale they made.

Now you will have some idea and knowledge on why there are many wholesalers or manufacturers are selling at many different prices. Please make sure that all the jewelry that you purchase has stamped ‘.925’. Some wholesaler also able to get prices a little lower than a normal wholesale price. It all depends on how you deal with the manufacturer.

Knowledge for Silver Jewelry Buyers

Sterling Silver Jewelry existed thousands of years ago but the popularity remains till today. One of the reasons was the cost of the metal are lower than other precious metal like gold and platinum. If you are a Silver Jewelry Buyers, you might need some knowledge on how to choose the silver jewelry and also how to taking care of the jewelry to ensure the jewelry to be in good condition.

Cleaning

The most common question that jewelry buyer will ask is how to clean it? Please do not simply use hard object or any kind of cloth including tissue paper to clean the jewelry because it will scratch the surface of the jewelry. To be safe, you are advice to use the jewelry cloth. You should rub any dirt off using a jewelry cloth, not fingernails or any sharp object that will damage your jewelry. You can purchase any jewelry cloth in a jewelry accessories store at an affordable price.

Keeping

If you do not use or wear the silver jewelry, it is advisable to keep and store it properly. You need to keep your jewelry in a place which is cool and away from sun light. Besides, indoor light source like florescent lights or light bulbs could also change the color of your jewelry. Light and heat will turn a silver jewelry yellow and tarnish. The best place to store your jewelry is in the drawer or cupboard if it is not used. Place your jewelry into the box also will help.

Plating

The reason why much silver jewelry is plated is to prevent it from tarnishing. There are 2 kinds of plating that the manufacturer can use to plat the silver jewelry - nickel and rhodium. If the jewelry is plated with nickel, the jewelry will look whitish. For jewelry that plated with rhodium are usually darker than nickel. Rhodium are widely used to plat while gold and platinum jewelry. Rhodium will cost more than Nickel because it gives more protection to the jewelry. For your information, for people that have skin allergy, wearing nickel plated jewelry might not be good for their skin.

Purity

How do we determine the purity of sterling silver? It is refers to ‘925’ which means 92.5% of silver in the alloy and the remaining 7.5% of other metal like copper. If you would like to know in detail about the purity of the jewelry, you need to send it to the laboratory and they have equipment to test it out for you. When you purchase any sterling silver jewelry in your nearby local store or online, please make sure the jewelry have ‘925’ stamped.
